1형식 문장

주어 + 동사 로 완벽한 문장이 된다.

예) A bird sing.
     There is a book on the desk.
     Here comes the rains.
     There once lived a wise king.
     Any chair will do.
     This job pays 20 dollars. pay = be profitable
     Honesty does not seem to count these days. count: be important

2 형식 문장

 주어 + 동사 + 보어

예) He is honest.

3 형식 문장

 주어 + 동사 + 목적어

예) I like an apple.

4 형식 문장

 주어 + 동사 + 간접목적어 + 직접목적어

예) He gave me a present.

5 형식 문장

 주어 + 동사 + 목적어 + 목적보어

예) We elected him president.
     I found the door open.
    He always make her happy.
