Panda Bonanza

Ling-Ling gave birth to five cubs at the National Zoo during her residence there, but they all died of different causes. A gift in 1972 from China, Ling-Ling died at the age of 23 from heart failure in 1992, leaving behind her mate Hsing-Hsing. The zoo is requesting another panda pair for its conservation and breeding program.
